Revolutionizing Birth with Compassion
Our Mission:
To create a world where all families have access to respectful care, medical support, and educational and financial resources necessary to ensure safe pregnancies, healthy births, and a more stable nurturing environments for their children.
Why Divine Birthing Services Is Different
At Divine Birthing Services, we are not just providers—we are protectors of joy, justice, and sacred transition. Our approach is rooted in the belief that birth is a spiritual, emotional, and communal experience—not just a medical event. Our doulas are deeply trained in full-spectrum care, including:
Prenatal education and empowerment
Labor & birth support in homes, hospitals, and birthing centers
Postpartum care and healing support
Loss and grief doula services (miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion, bereavement)
Death doula services for aging and end-of-life care
We center the voices and needs of Black, Indigenous, and underserved families, and we intentionally train and mentor birthworkers from these communities to reclaim knowledge and power from within.
Every service we offer is infused with ancestral wisdom, trauma-informed care, and cultural reverence.
“Every woman deserves a doula. It’s not a luxury—it’s evidence-based, life-saving care.”
What is a Doula?
A doula is more than a birth companion—they are a culturally attuned, professionally trained caregiver who offers continuous emotional, physical, educational, and advocacy support throughout the full spectrum of reproductive experiences. From pregnancy and birth to postpartum, pregnancy loss, and bereavement, doulas walk beside individuals and families during some of life’s most transformative and vulnerable moments.
Unlike clinical staff, a doula provides non-medical, person-centered care grounded in trust, ritual, and cultural wisdom. Whether it’s through calming touch, informed choices, birth planning, or affirming presence, doulas remind each client that they are not alone, their voice matters, and their experience is sacred.
Proven Impact of Doula Support
Up to 60% reduction in cesarean births
25% shorter labors and 60% less use of epidurals
31% decrease in Pitocin use, lowering medical intervention risks
34% fewer negative birth experiences
Higher breastfeeding success rates
Lower rates of postpartum depression and anxiety
Life-saving support for Black, Indigenous, and systemically excluded birthing people, who face 3 to 4 times higher maternal mortality rates in the U.S.
“Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
“I didn’t know what divine meant until I birthed my son with DBS by my side. I wasn’t just held—I was honored. Doula Yvette lit candles, prayed with me, massaged my feet, and reminded me I was powerful even when I was scared. I didn’t feel like a patient—I felt like a queen coming into her full strength. Every Black mama deserves this kind of birth.”
– Aaliyah T, First-time Mom, Lancaster, CA
“When my mama was transitioning, DBS showed up like angels. They weren’t afraid of her pain or her silence. They anointed her hands, sang to her, and helped us say goodbye with dignity. That moment was more beautiful than I can explain. This is sacred work. It’s holy.”
– Mariah J., Daughter and Caregiver
“I never felt more seen or supported than with Divine Birthing. They helped me give birth to my baby and to myself.” — Nia M
